Natalie & Megan | Washington D.C. Photography

Kristen definitely knew what she was doing when she chose Natalie and Megan for our Funshop Day 2 photoshoot: They're awesome. And photogenic. And great friends. This made them incredibly enjoyable to photograph! Despite the wind and rain, they smiled, laughed, danced, and looked beautiful.

Megan, you're gorgeous. So, so cute.

Beautiful Natalie. She's super sweet and absolutely adorable.

Megan and Natalie, I had so much fun with this shoot.
And at Johnny Rockets. (ahem, please don't hug me young man)
Thank you for being such willing models. :)

  2. Yep these two gals look like they enjoyed the day too.

I like the pic of Megan in the large hallway with the vaulted dome ceiling. Also, the one of Natalie looking up is good. I always like photos of people looking up at the camera. Somewhere I saw a great photo of Olivia taken by Laura Elizabeth. Olivia was looking up at the camera, the DOF was very shallow, and the pic was nicely saturated. It was a great shot. Laura Elizabeth's blog has some great stuff on it; wish she would post more often! :-)

Now, just a thought, the one of you've got of Natalie laughing and she is framed to the far right. For me, that one appears a little unbalanced. I see that you had a lamppost towards the left side of the frame which you were probably using as a couterpoise, but the two objects aren't evenly spaced. The lamppost is about a third of the way into the frame, and Natalie is on the very edge. So, from what I see here, I think that one might be even better if you composed Natalie a little more to the left and placed the lamp equidistant from the edge. You could still crop it that way now.

The one right below that one is excellent; Megan and Natalie are both on the extreme edges, but they balance each other out.

Good shoot! Thanks for sharing. Looks like fun. I look forward to seeing some other shots from the workshop. :-)

  3. For the shot of Natalie, I didn't set it up. The crop is SOOC, and her laugh was so natural and cute I decided to post it. :)

    Thanks for the suggestion!
